Split into three acts, this playlist is derived from conversations, expectations, and feelings relating to Summer 2020 Act 1 | Disbelief, Escape Songs 1-6 It’s been a strange start to the year. A series of twists and turns that no one asked for. But at least we have summer to look forward to. Right? Act 2 | Reflection, Acceptance Songs 7-10 This is not the summer I had in mind. The streets are hot, literally and figuratively. My friends are inside, restaurants are outside and they still don’t have respect for Black lives. This is not what I had in mind. I suppose it’s not all bad. More time talking to family, less money spent, a few reckonings. And the park is the new Disney World, night club and gym all rolled into one.
